Last week, another blogger, Lindsey Ivory, asked for my advice on labor and newborns. She has been asking the internets for her weekly “From the Mouths of Moms” column since in a few short weeks, she’ll be bringing a wee one into the world too. Anway, ask & ye shall recieve, I say. I gave her the good, the bad and the very, very ugly. If you want to see how my answers stack up, go visit her blog.
Also, I want to not care about my ranking on Top Baby Blogs, but um… I do. So, if you’ll do me the itty bitty honor of clicking on this link, and then the next one where it asks you to vote I would be so thankful. Don’t worry if you’ve clicked before, you can actually do it once a day (you know, if you wanted.)

Awesome advice – I’d already forgotten about how we existed on cereal in those early days
I haven’t quite forgotten everything though… ah the luxuries of having a shower pretty much when I want now. I love my baby, but I’m glad she’s not a newborn anymore
Krista,
I read over the advice. Labor has me scared to death…for the simple fact that this baby is going to weigh WELL over one pound (which I am TRULY happy about)! Been through labor twice and the drugs didn’t work either time (the epidural lasted 15 min. tops the 1st time and then I felt EVERY contraction and the 2nd the drugs in the iv NEVER worked and I felt every one, even after the baby came and I was waiting for the placenta to pass (it took 3 hours and an emergency DNC to get it to pass)). And I realize that the recovery for those 2 pregnancies were easier to get through than this one (I could sleep as much as I wanted and again a less than 1 lb baby passed through). So thanks for the advice on labor (I def. want drugs that WORK) and what comes after!
By the way, I LOVE reading your blog (I check almost daily to see if you have updated it)! It is hard to imagine that we are all grown up and are old enough to have kids of our own!
