Ultimate Blog Party

by kristas on April 9, 2010

Hi!  I just found out about the Ultimate Blog Party hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom and, well, I’ve invited myself.  Hopefully that’s not frowned upon in your corner of the internet.

As a PR gal from 8-5, I know the importance of an “elevator speech”, so he’re mine.   I am the wife of a fantastic husband, who is head over heels in love with our 6-month old daughter.

I kind of like her too!

Through all the years (six of ‘em) that Craig (the husband) and I dated, I was pretty much a fabulous girlfriend.  I often joked that if they gave out “Girlfriend of the Year” awards, I’d win.  So, you might think that I would at least make a run for “Wife of the Year” or “Mommy of the Year”  but I’m quickly learning that earning those two crowns takes more hours than I seem to have in a day.

Most days I’m dancing (in high heels) between my roles of being a mom, a wife and holding down my job..  Oh and being able to breathe in my pre-pregnancy clothes would be a good thing too.  Some days I rock it…  other days, not so much.  I blog about the struggles of finding that perfect balance, milestones of this sweet babe and general life stuff that every new mom goes through.  It may not be unique, but it’s mine.

If you’re looking for a place to share in those every day “mommy fail” moments or have advice for me, then pull up a chair (these heels are killing my feet), grab a cup of tea or cocktail (it’s never too early in my world) and have a look-see around.

Loved your intro! I thought to myself “oh man she’s doing it in high heels….” =)
I’m going to follow.
Happy party!

I’m a non-blogger here for the UBP, and yes it’s hard to do all the roles (men don’t have to, as much) to perfection! I’m also an artist, poet, journalist, did a local TV program on the arts and am now reviewing for http://www.movieroomreviews.com and http://www.musicroomreviews.com, the ones that say Written by Christina at the top and bottom!

I’m thinking following you would be good since I will no longer be alone in my world of losing the mother of the year award. :) I’m across the way at http://www.stacymorley.blogspot.com

Hey there, stopping by from the UBP as well. Your site name caught my eye. I’m not mommy of the year either, but my son thinks I am and that’s all that matters :-) Love your blog and look forward to your posts. I’m at http://casagonzales.blogspot.com if you’d like to stop by. Enjoy UBP!

Awesome!!! Just found you from the blog party. Nothing like a bit of truth huh – I’m in marketing and any gush gusy ‘I’m the perfect mommy’ leaves me feeling a bit cynical – lady, you appear to rock :)
